36+5 weeks pregnancy update!

Today I'm 36 weeks and 5 days pregnant. In two days time I'll be 37 weeks which means my baby will be full term. Right at this moment I have mixed feelings of feeling excited to feeling very nervous about the labour as not knowninf what to expect and just wanting a natural birth (if possible) but who knows when it comes to nature anything can happen. I'm very overwhelmed to think that soon I'll be meeting this bundle of joy! It's crazy ive nearly had him for nine months in my uterus and I love him like mad! Sometimes during this pregnancy ive felt a bit doubtful with feeling like oh I don't know if I'm going to be able to do this and also feeling like I'm just going to do my best and always try my hardest which I guess all this flickering of emotions and feelings are from the hormones. But only 3 weeks left till my due date, even though let's be honest babies can come whenever they feel like their ready! Haha!
Here's some pictures during my pregnancy...
(Pic below) 1 month pregnant!
My first scan of my little prawn!
4 months pregnant!
Finding out the sex! Valentine's Day!
Five months pregnant! I felt huge at this stage! Valentine's Day! After a big meal!
My last scan! Bigger baby now!
My simple 4D scan at BabyBond. Danny George Miners! Smiled when he heard mummy's voice! My heart melted!
7 months pregnant!
My baby shower! With my friends who ive known since I was a kid! I've put on mounts of weight!
And now! At 8 months pregnant! Bigger than ever! Ready to pop! Excuse the underwear on view!
Before I was pregnant i weighted just over 6 stone! I was very slim and petite but now I weight a huge 9 stone! Which is much healthier! I'm very happy with how my pregnancy has gone! No morning sickness and it's been such an emotional roller coaster and learning experience! Men definitely miss out when it comes to having babies and feelings them kick in the morning and feeling them have hiccups!
Hopefully the next time I post a blog it will be with a picture of my little boy! I'm so excited for the life change and experiences to come! πŸ‘ΆπŸ’™πŸ’™

Mum To Be Pack | Emma's Diary

You recieve this pack in your first Emma's Diary pack small magazine, you had to fill out a form and take it to either Boots or Argos. I took mine to boots, you recieve this pack above which is full of information, samples and well pretty much advertising but for free you can't complain.
When I first opened my pack I saw three trial sized samples.

1. Always Discreet towels, you recieve two towels in this little pack with 50p off vouchers.
2. A small Sachet of Bio-Oil to try out about 4ml of product.
3. Bepanthen - stretch mark cream which is 4ml.
There was a free graze box leaflet and a leaflet for The Baby Show also two £20 off Ocado shopping vouchers.
There was also two different leaflets on baby products and information.
I also received this Your Newborn Esstentials Pack from Johnsons baby which came inside of this mum to be selection pack
Inside this pack firstly I received a Johnsons baby guide to the first 10 days booklet.
The next product I received was a full sized sample of Johnsons baby extra sensitive fragrance free baby wipes.
The last products i recieve where these small sample sized products. Which where Johnsons baby oil which has 100ml of product, Johnsons baby nappy cream 16.5g of product and Johnsons baby top-to-toe bath which contains 50ml. It states in the booklet that comes in this pack that these can be used straight away on newborn babies, but I'd suggest you do your research on these products and on the chemicals used in these products before using these on newborn babies!!
Thank you to Emma's Diary for this free pack which will help out mothers and parents to be. It's such a great and generous idea for these packs especially if you wouldn't purchase these items in a shop, you can trial them with the sample sizes to see how you get on with the products.

Pregnancy Update #1 29 weeks and 3 days!

29 weeks and 3 days!

It doesn't seem like it was yesterday since I was sat in my boyfriend's toilet waiting for that little stick to tell me if I was positive or negative. How time flies by! Week by week goes by and as it does I definitely feel more pregnant. It wasn't until the end of the 4th month where it really started to sink in that my body was changing and I was going to be having a baby. It did seem really surreal at first, I'm sure it was due to the fact that my little man wasn't planned but I was certain that I didn't want to abort him.

Now I've hit the 29 weeks mark my body isn't capable of doing what was the norm to me any more. Bending down or running for a bus or even just walking at my normal pace just isn't in me now, it's certainly crazy! The only way I can describe it is like I've suddenly gone from nearly turning 20 to nearly turning 50. I never suffered from any first trimester problems like morning sickness or anything, I was pretty lucky in that department. It isn't till now that I'm waking up during the night with major leg cramps which I've never experienced before but they really are the worst! I spent a day down town and my legs where killing from where I hasn't sat down all day and my back was hurting, also I pulled a shoulder muscle from holding my bag all day. Just the little things get you when you're pregnant.

There are definitely some plus sides to being pregnant though, as most women I hated being on once a month and sometimes was fed up with being a girl but now I'm pregnant I literally can't get over how much men miss out on feeling a baby grow and develop inside of you. It's amazing waking up to little feet and hands kicking you from the inside and having a head stick out or a bum, it's so amazing! What made my whole year this year was when we went to a 3D ultrasound scan and when the woman was trying to get pictures of him he was being a little grump but I spoke to my mum and he actually gave a massive smile just from hearing my voice(or possibly wind) the woman said he knows mummy's voice already. How amazing is that a baby at 25 weeks (that's when we had the scan) can recognize my voice it made my heart melt. I will never forget that day! The best feeling about being pregnant is how all your life you will never love someone without seeing them or meeting them but with your own baby you already love them without any contact. It truly is special!
I love my little Danny George Miners! <3

Pregnancy scare!

Pregnancy scare!

After having spent a day at my nans, I walked to my boyfriend's house. On the way there I must have had a spot bleed which I was pretty worried about because I hadn't bled before during my pregnancy. My boyfriends mum told me that she had quite a bit of spot bleeding during her last pregnancy with my boyfriends brother so I decided not to worry to much and see how everything was in the morning. Well it turns out that I couldn't even sleep due to being so worried but eventually I fast asleep.

As soon as I woke up I felt like something wasn't right because normally my little man wakes me up but he chose not to this morning. So I tried to get hold of my old midwife due to switching midwifes and not having my current midwifes number but no luck. I called 111 and they gave me a number to call which was for maternity bleep. So straight away I dialed the number and they told me to come into QA hospital now. I had left my maternity notes at my mums, which was such a pain as I had to travel 45minutes to a ferry and then another 45 minutes to my mums place and all the way back and then it took an hour from there to get to the hospital.

Once I arrived I was directed to two wrong places before I turned up into the right area. I was quite panicked at this time as I still hadn't felt any movements from baby, I normally feel him on the bus due to vibrations but today nothing. My name was on the board in the treetops maternity area and they told me to go into this room where they had an ultra sound system and other maternity uses. Me and my boyfriend waited in that room for a good hour before a midwife came into the room. She checked his heartbeat straight away and look at my notes. His heartbeat was bearable so after that the stress levels went down majorly! We was then left in the room for another hour to the midwife coming back in apologising because she got dragged into doing another job. It felt like they left me to last minute so if anything was to happen to my baby unfortunatly he wouldn't have been here now. Due to the staff not even seeing me for an hour when I arrived and due to them coming in the room and then leaving me an hour between each time. They spent 20 minutes with me even though I was there for over 4 hours.

They didn't ultrasound me or examine me, so I was very upset with that as if anything had happened how would they have known? Luckly he's perfectly healthy! The only thing they were worried about was the fact that they measured my bump and it was measuring quite small, even though his measurements were wrong. So he booked me for a growth scan, my baby is fine he isn't small at all but my bump is tiny. I am very petite and I used to weigh only 6stone now 8 stone and my height is 5ft. So you can't expect a giant baby with me haha! But the growth scan went fine.

My little danny was definitely playing an April fools joke on me!
Hopefully never again!!
